Mission Statement
Save the Penokee Springfest will strive to create awarenesss of the effects of mining in Northern Wisconsin, particularly the potential mine in the Penokee Mountain Range near Mellen, Wisconsin. Through the combination of eclectic live music, keynote speakers, informative booths and fantastic local food and drink, Save the Penokee Springfest will accomplish the goal of large scale environmental education.
The Venue
Save the Penokee Springfest will take place on the Student Recreation Fields of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point™ campus. This large and open green space is perfect for a relaxing day of music with plenty of room for Frisbee, lawn games and picnics. The fields are also within close walking distance of the beautiful Schmeekle Reserve and Lake Joanis. The UWSP™ Student Recreation Fields are located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Maria Drive in Stevens Point, Wisconsin 54481.
Admission: FREE!
Please support the greater-Stevens Point community by purchasing food and drink from local vendors at the festival. Vendor information to come!
